news in from organart.com

Communication from Tim Smith - “Here you go, a brief bit of blurb and the track listings. Attached is the cover (one of them) They are two separate CDs...
The Special Garage Concerts Autumn 2003 Vol one.
The Special Garage Concerts Autumn 2003 Vol two.

They are on Cardiacs’ own label Alphabet and available only from Cardiacs website www.cardiacs.com - you can buy them on line. (and you can use paypal to do this). They are released on 1st Sept 2005 if they are made in time.

In October 2003 Cardiacs did as they were told and played some “gigs”. They played tunes only from way back when they were very horrid eggs. Tunes from no later than 1983. Many of the tunes dating back as far as 1976 when the band first started, when Cardiacs were 15-16 years of age or there abouts. Shitting stinking babies wot demanded feeding. The Band were called Cardiac Arrest back then. They didn’t even know what “Cardiac Arrest” meant. Anyway, they did as they were told and had the gigs recorded. 32 tunes crammed onto two albums (VOL I and VOL II of the Special Garage Concerts London Autumn 2003). Hear the definitive versions of these very early songs on these albums. Some had never even been recorded before. The concerts were recorded in London at a very “intimate” venue called The Garage. They were recorded over three consecutive nights. This CD holds a selection of tunes from those concerts.

Vol one.
Gibber and Twitch, Scratching Crawling Scrawling, As Cold As Can Be In An English Sea, It¹s A Lovely Day, A Wooden Fish On Wheels, Ice A Spot And A Dot On The Dog, Aukamakic, Gloomy News, Gina Lollabridgida, Leaf Scrapings, Rock Around The Clock, Pip As Uncle Dick But Peter Spoiled It, Let Alone My Plastic Doll, Hope Day, A Balloon For Bertie¹s Party, My Trade Mark

Vol 2
The Obvious Identity, Hello Mr. Sparrow, A Bus for a Bus on the Bus, Dinnertime is at Home (not here)
Pilf, An Ant, Hello Mr. Minnow, A Cake For Bertie¹s Party, Food On The Wall, Hopeless, Dead Mouse, To Go Off And Things, Visiting Hours, RES, A Game For Bertie¹s Party, Icky Qualms

Cheers for this and see you soon hopefully...
An ORG RECORDS / ORGAN zine mail out
GET 64 slices of Underground music, over four and a half hours of fine ear food on four CDs - READ ON

It's my birthday today so to celebrate you can get the excellent new ORGAN RADIO 21 CD album NOW for JUST £5.00 including P&P and get three more albums free - scroll to the end for full details.

ORGAN RADIO 21 is 78 minutes of music from ORG Records - 16 fresh bands and all on one CD, all picking up loads of interest, positive reviews and airplay from all over the globe....

HERE'S THE RECENT KERRANG REVIEW

ORGAN RADIO 21 - THIS IS WHY I BOOKMARKED YOU - With an admirable passion for discovering cool new music, ORG Records seldom fail to unearth something fascinating. This latest instalment in their compilation series is arguably the best yet, with plenty of virtual unknowns delivering the idiosyncratic goods. Most musical bases are covered here, but it's 65Daysofstatic fidgity, melodic noise and Suns Of The Tundra's blissed out Tool-isms that hit home quickest. Best of all, the superbly named Suitable Case For Treatment provide a powerfully psychotic 10 minutes of spazzed -up prog insanity that sounds like Autopsy jamming with Captain Beefheart . There's no better place to look
for a fresh prospective". One for fans of BIFFY CLYRO, MR BUNGLE so say Kerrang (Dom Lawson)

Here's another review

BETWEEN PLANETS WEBZINE - Organ Radio 21: This Is Why I Bookmarked You

It gets said a lot but it's always worth saying again that many bands who have gone on to become household names, the likes of Sikth, Lostprophets, My Vitriol, earthtone9, Breed 77 and many more, appeared first on an Organ Radio compilation. The guys at ORG certainly have an ear for bands that are about to bubble over.

This give you an added bonus when you buy this new compilation, the 21st in the series; not only do you get 16 tracks of what's hot on the underground but chances are you'll be able to annoy your friends by telling them how you heard these bands before they did.

Things kick off with some computer aided rock from Twentysixfeet and 65daysofstatic, both of whom are excellent, giving the listener two epic sounding tunes. This wave is quickly cut into by the straight ahead loudness of The Kramers, Midasuno and I-Def-I. Then comes Suns Of The Tundra, formed by members of Peach - a band Tool cite as an influence.

Leisur Hive offer up some creeping, eerie sounds, which almost (but not quite) prepare you for the burst of unhinged noise pervaded by Suitable Case For Treatment. This band are fronted by an ex-circus performer, who howls, roars and jabbers his way through 9 minutes of genius with Dead Pigeon Teachers. This makes for a tough act to follow but the pace of the compilation holds together with metal from Cubic Space Division, some dynamic-shifting rock from Caretaker and Thee More Shallows' 2 AM, which is a glockenspiel driven affair similar to Grandaddy. Sludgy punk shoots out from punk legend John The Baker and his new band The Malnourished and hardcore sextet When Reason Sleeps prove that Wales is still the best place in the UK for that sort of thing.

The CD closes with three pieces of hard-edged US punk from Trouble Maker, The Sick and Everything Must Go. The latter present the title track from their recent ORG EP, I Hate Music and will make your ears bleed. Fittingly, this compilation is perfect for anyone out there who hates music and doesn't know why - it's because you haven't heard these bands.

OK Here's the deal
